Council meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month. If the Monday happens to be a holiday then the meeting is on the Tuesday. Council meetings begin at 7:00 pm.

Invites applications for the position of Municipal Councillor
The Corporation of the Town of Blind River is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on municipal council. The successful applicant will fulfill the remaining term of office from November 6,2023 to November 2026.
Qualifications:
- a resident of the municipality or a non-resident owner or tenant of land in the municipality or the spouse of such a non-resident owner or tenant;
- a Canadian citizen;
- at least 18 years old; and
- not disqualified by any legislation from holding municipal office.
Interested parties are encouraged to submit the required application form and a letter (no resumés) expressing:
- interest in sitting on council;
- outlining any prior community and/or council involvement; and
- familiarity with municipal government and local issues.

Complete applications must be received by 3:00 p.m. on October 20, 2023 for Council’s consideration.
Submitted letters will be subject to review at the October 30, 2023 open council meeting.
