PUBLIC NOTICE – Sewer Flushing & Inspection
The Town of Blind River will be conducting sewer flushing and inspection on your street as part of our routine maintenance program between September 9th – 12th. This work is necessary to keep our sewer system operating safely and reliably.

- Lachore St.
- Victoria Ave
- Wellington Ave
- Rousseau Crescent
- Cobden Ave South
- Confederation St.
What to Expect
- Crews will be on your street during regular business hours starting Tuesday, September 9th
- Work on each street will typically last only a few hours.
- You may notice gurgling sounds, bubbling, or minor odours from drains and toilets while flushing is underway.
How to Prepare
- Keep toilet lids closed during the work.
- Cover basement floor drains if possible.
- Limit large water uses (laundry, dishwashers, etc.) while crews are nearby.
- If you notice odours, run water in sinks and tubs to refill plumbing traps.
Why This Work is Important
- Prevents blockages and sewer backups.
- Identifies issues before they become costly repairs.
- Ensures long-term efficiency of the sanitary sewer system.
