Mission Statement:
To provide a cultural, recreational and learning resource for the residents of Blind River and surrounding area from Thessalon to Spanish; to research, preserve, exhibit, store and interpret the Town's logging and lumbering heritage and the social histories of its people for future generations.  The Timber Village Museum, which is owned and operated by the Corporation of The Town of Blind River, will research, collect, preserve and display items of historical relevance to the industries and social histories of Blind River and immediate areas of the North Shore from Spanish to Dean Lake. The Museum will also house a temporary gallery for the display and use of local art as well as educational and cultural programming.

The Museum is comprised of two permanent heritage galleries, a temporary gallery with changing art and history exhibitions, and a gift shop. Outside exhibits include a blacksmith shop (open for events only) and mill machinery from the McFadden Lumber Company. Picnic tables and bus parking are available next door, at Travel Centre. Don't miss a photographic opportunity at the Northern Ontario Logging Memorial, adjacent to the Museum grounds.
