JUNE 10, 2020
The Town of Blind River is eager to announce it’s reopening of The Blind River Marine Park.  Thursday June 11th and Friday, June 12th we will be open from 8am-4pm as a soft-opening that will allow our seasonal boaters to move to their slips.

For the month of June our hours will be Monday-Friday 8am-4pm.  June 29-August 28 will expand to 7 Days per week 8am-6pm.  Canada Day will have service 10am-4pm in conjunction with our Art Gallery.

Boating is a great way to promote physical distancing as well as exploring our local beauty.  As many of our residents have had their summer travel plans changed, our docks are open to all boaters seeking daily, monthly, or seasonal slip rentals.  If you find yourself venturing on Lake Huron frequently, we invite you to arrange for a slip to make your experience easier.  All boats and boaters are welcome at our public marina.  Please email: with any questions or requests to process agreements electronically.

We fully understand and love the culture of boating, chit-chat, and reminiscing with people we only see during the summer.  Our request this year is that we all maintain distance and keep interactions to a minimum.

This is one of the strategies we are hoping are respected by our boating community to ensure our staff stay healthy and can serve you for the entire season.

Our Requests are as follows:

✓ Please keep 6’ apart on the docks.
✓ Treat the docks and boardwalk like our trails, give ample right of way to oncoming    walkers and wheelers.
✓ When possible, purchase our punch card for ice to reduce cash/transaction contact
✓ Do not invite guests that do not live in your household on your boat this summer.
✓ If you are sick, please do not interact with staff or touch anything in The Marine Park.
While we realize we can not police these requests, we hope for everyone’s health and safety that they are followed.
Let’s all be safe boaters.
