CASUAL CROSSING GUARD
Invites applications for the position of Casual Crossing Guard
(on call, as needed basis, 3.75 hrs/day)

The Town of Blind River has a vacancy for a Casual Crossing Guard. Duties and responsibilities include ability to communicate effectively with children, assisting children in safely crossing highway and streets, recording license plate number of vehicles failing to stop in the crossing zone, have a familiarity with all safety and emergency procedures, current CPR certificate required, or obtained within a reasonable time frame, criminal background check is required, minimum grade 10, previous crossing guard experience is preferred.

Salary: $14.00/hour

EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
The Town of Blind River is accepting applications for two (2) Equipment Operator – Level 1, 40 hours per week, for the Public Works Department.

Equipment Operators are responsible for the safe operation of all heavy duty equipment required to maintain the existing municipal infrastructure.  Equipment Operators are responsible to maintain all equipment and to inform the Manager/Sub-Foreman of any problems arising out of the normal use of the equipment.    Equipment Operators must maintain a DZ operator’s license and maintain their license in good standing.  In addition, Equipment Operators will participate in the general maintenance program of the municipality as required.

Salary: Currently under review.
